As part of Marmoset\u2019s overarching purpose, Be Community, we invest 10% of all profits (from our share, never the artists\u2019) in nonprofits and organizations enacting real, positive change in our community and beyond. Every quarter,<\/em> we partner up with organizations fighting for social, environmental and educational equity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We couldn\u2019t do this without you \u2013 the clients, filmmakers, directors and editors who choose Marmoset. Your business keeps our lights on and allows us to give back to our community.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With your help this last quarter, Marmoset was honored to invest a total of $6,314.00<\/strong> in two organizations with the theme of health access: the Transgender Law Center and National Network of Abortion Funds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transgender Law Center<\/a><\/strong> (TLC) is the largest national trans-led organization advocating for a world in which all people are free to define themselves and their futures. Grounded in legal expertise and committed to racial justice, TLC employs a variety of community-driven strategies to keep transgender and gender nonconforming people alive, thriving, and fighting for liberation. TLC\u2019s advocacy and precedent-setting litigation victories\u2014in areas including employment, prison conditions, education, immigration, and healthcare\u2014protect and advance the rights of transgender and gender nonconforming people across the country. Through their organizing and movement-building programs, TLC assists, informs, and empowers thousands of individual community members a year and builds towards a long-term, national, trans-led movement for liberation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Network of Abortion Funds<\/a><\/strong> builds power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice. With the call to \u201cFund Abortion, Build Power!\u201d in mind, they\u2019re building an active grassroots base of people directly affected by barriers to abortion access to inform and implement necessary cultural and political change. Abortion funds are experts in their own communities across widely varying cultural and political geographies, and they hold unique perspectives as frontline responders to people seeking abortion care support. Through a vision of collective power and participatory processes in partnership with their members, they are building organizing power that centers people who have abortions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
