Born in New York City, Harlan Silverman spent his childhood soaking up the sounds of the times. From the heavy synth scores that dominated late 80s cinema, to romantic Broadway musicals. Trained as a classical musician, Silverman began playing the cello at the age of four, and went on to study with the world renown cellist Eugene Friesen at Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. To date, Silverman has built a vast catalog of music encompassing multiple genres, from scoring themes and feature films to writing songs for Mayer Hawthorne, Michelle Branch, and John Baptiste.
