During the 1960s and early '70s, Phoenix-based radio DJ, Hadley Murrell moonlighted as a record producer for some of the funkiest bands on the little known but fertile Phoenix R&B circuit. This sampling of the best of the desert town's soul output during the movement's glory days captures unknown but gifted local bands, including saxophonist Bobby Soul.
