Calculated Risk

Started by twin brothers Jim and John Cooper, Calculated Risk debuted as the band Chance in 1975. Jeff Glaubensklee joined on drums with Karl Harvey rounding out the quartet on bass. They toured throughout Southern Colorado, hitting the studio in 1978 to record their first 45 (“Harbor Nights” b/w “Magic Eyes”). After finding some radio success, the band relocated to Los Angeles, officially adopting the moniker Calculated Risk in 1982. The brothers Cooper relocated back to Pueblo, CO in 1989 and have continued to make music both together and separately.
