Founded in 2016, Dressel Amorosi is the instrumental duo of Valerio Lombardozzi, also known as Heinrich Dressel (keys, synth, and programming), and Federico Amorosi (bass). Before joining forces, the two long-time friends pursued separate careers for a couple of decades—Lombardozzi released his own electronic projects and produced music for others, while Amorosi played bass as a member of Simonetti’s Goblin and with the Fabio Frizzi ‘Frizzi 2 Fulci’ band. Their horror-themed debut album, “DeathMeta” (2018), draws on influences such as John Carpenter, Goblin, Fabio Frizzi, the Canterbury scene, and Tangerine Dream, to create a sonic universe combining the thrilling atmospheres of 70s/80s horror soundtracks with outer-space synthesized soundscapes.
