Eddie Drake

Country

Born in Kentucky, Eddie Drake made a name for himself as a chicken-pickin' honky tonk guitarist, singer and session player. After a stint in the Marine corps brought him out to California, he cut his first solo record in 1959, worked with producer Cliffie Stone and the husband-wife duo of Johnny and Janie Mosby, and even hosted his own television program for several years. Here is one of his several singles he cut featuring a bouncy cut-time beat and some ruff-and-tumble twang.
