Goofy Geese is the moniker of Bergen-based Mats Jøger - a bedroom pop artist not only by genre, but literally. He does almost everything by himself and plays guitar, keyboard and bass alongside his singing. The music is woolly, in a good way – pop music draped in a veil of sorts. Think the dream pop of the 80s with the DIY mentality of contemporary faves like girl in red, Billie Eilish and Jakob Ogawa. Jøger is 24 years old and has previously played with Selmer, Vegard & Ivar Band and in an early band with girl in red's bassist and drummer. Goofy Geese is also part of a creative and burgeoning scene surrounding producer Marius Elfstedt/Whose Rules (Selmer, Mall Girl, Vegard & Ivar Band, Henrik Felipe).
