Born of the lifelong friendship between three men who have never stopped singing, writing, and playing the music that they love. Jay Ramsey and the Contempos had their start in Dallas, TX thanks to the help of radio DJ, Bob Kelly, he'd heard and liked one of Jay's songs, recorded the group, and put out a record on his record label, Libra Records. About a year, lots of gigs, some recording later, they were signed by Sinatra's Reprise Records, and given a manager. Later they signed with United Artist as well.
