Jerry Lopez

Jerry Lopez traces his deep musical roots to his childhood in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where his father, Gilberto Lopez, had him and his siblings performing professionally at an early age. In 1975, the family relocated to Las Vegas in a converted school bus, ultimately becoming known as the Strip’s “musicians’ musicians.” Jerry is best known as the founder and bandleader of Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns, a 15-piece ensemble that has served as a Monday night hub for top players and touring artists for over two decades. He also toured with Ricky Martin and has performed alongside renowned artists such as Bill Champlin and Tom Scott.
