Well known as a featured vocalist in the 40s and 50s for both the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and Jack Pleis and His Orchestra. Johnny’s charismatic performances extended beyond his silky smooth voice. In 1968 Amoroso teamed with NYC songwriters Louis dePasquale and Zelda Cohen. Johnny brought his hard working quartet into the studio to cut a handful of dePasquale/Cohen tunes. The result is a half dozen songs that epitomize the sound of the swinging 60s Rat Pack era.
