Lanterns
Lanterns is a collaboration between Portland composers Alex Schiff and Paul Hogan. Working from their respective studios, they unearth rare musical gems and share their discoveries with each other. Ideas are exchanged, refined, and expanded until a captivating composition takes shape. With a fondness for bespoke sounds—upright piano, tactile percussion, analog synths, delicate woodwinds, and foley—Lanterns distills essential emotions from intimate details.
