The New Bloods came into existence because Eddie & Ernie had a hit called "It's A Weak Man That Cries" which was released on Eastern Records and they needed a different name to be on Hadley Murrell's record label, Madley records. The record was recorded at Audio Recorders in Phoenix, Arizona, with the house band backing them. They were the same band that backed Dwayne Eddy when he recorded his hit, "Rebel Rouser", in the same studio with the same world renowned engineer, Jack Ramsey, who was the engineer for this song.
