Paul Nelson aka Phoenix Da Icefire is a London based hip hop artist who quickly became a respected name when he independently debuted with his first project and mixtape "Baptism under fire" in 2009 with Dj Roast. Phoenix has since then released 5 projects from mixtape to albums and toured across the UK selling his music doing his own gorilla marketing following the tours of other established artist. He is no stranger to the stage though, he is well known for his high energy performances and has supported the likes of Big Daddy Kane, Ghostface Killah and Killah Priest, Jeru the damaja, Immortal technique, Dead Prez and has even flown to Brooklyn to support Afrikaa Bombaata. Phoenix Da Icefire has also collaborated with big US artist such as Action Bronson, Cormega, Keith Murray, Rex and some notable names within the UK scene. Phoenix's latest achievement is that he got nominated for an AIM award in 2020 for best album of the year, project entitled "Panacea" which translates as "cure for all ills". There is so much more coming and from how diverse and innovative his music is its an exciting time.
