Plastic Picnic is a Brooklyn-based band comprised of four Pacific Northwest transplants. It wasn't until each member individually moved out East that the group connected over their shared love for driving 1980's rhythms, atmospheric guitar work and the cinematic, pop nostalgia of the 80's. Billboard Magazine described the band as an "indie post-rock project soundtracking a John Hughes movie."
