Born in Venezuela in 1949, guitarist Randy Carlos moved to the US in 1949. His ground-breaking use of electric guitar on his Fiesta Records releases of the late 50s and early 60s immediately stands out as unique. It’s a sound not really heard before him, and one that brings a fresh new feel to traditional Latin sounds of the era.
