In pursuit of his passion for the classical guitar, Oregon native, Ryan Walsh, travelled to Seville, Spain, where he received his formal training under esteemed professor, Paco Cantón, at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel Castillo. After several years honing his technique and musicianship alongside the world's finest, he returned home to share the beautiful, mysterious, and intensely intimate music he cultivated during his time abroad. Now one of the Pacific Northwest’s most recognizable faces in classical guitar, he constantly seeks a connection between the rich and ancient musical traditions of the mediterranean, and the somber, enigmatic landscapes of his native stomping grounds.
