Subtle Lake's stirring compositions range from tender solo piano to cinematic grandeur - sometimes all within one song. Named after a lake in central Oregon, their palette of sounds are largely organic but still evoke a modern feel. These elements combine to create a cinematic journey that can instill a range of emotions in the listener. This project is the newest collaborate efforts of composer Ben Darwish and producer Paul Laxer. They met in Portland, Oregon and have recorded several albums together. Subtle Lake combines the best of their respective skills to form a truly unique and imaginative sound.
