Sūn Byrd is a newly formed six-piece band from Oslo consisting of Johan Helland (vocals), Audun Reknes (keys), Kristoffer Lippestad (sax), Lyder Røed (trumpet), Markus Hafsund Gundersen (bass) and Bård Berg (drums). Comprised of musicians from Norway’s Bård Berg Electric Band and Fieh, Sūn Byrd’s new self-titled album is a vivacious and carefully crafted modern soul workout.
