RockSan Francisco glam-punk firebrands Sybil built a cult following in the late ’80s with a live show equal parts rock ’n’ roll and absurdist theater—dog food tossed into crowds, blow-up dolls, lingerie, and a stage toilet among the props. Formed by guitarist James Ray after the collapse of Head On, the band combined relentless work ethic with sharp songwriting, drawing devoted crowds across Northern California. Their shelved 1986 album, Every Parent’s Dream, finally surfaced through Fervor Records in 2025, revealing a potent mix of glam, punk, power-pop, and trashy rock ’n’ roll swagger.
