Tennessee River Crooks
RockMike Hendrix co-founded Tennessee River Crooks with bassist and vocalist Jimmy Stewart after a chance meeting revealed the two lived in the same Tennessee trailer park. As the band's principal songwriter and guitarist, Hendrix helped forge a hard-driving Southern rock sound honed through relentless touring across the Southeast. Though the group's promising career was cut short by the tragic death of guitarist Ronny Waters in 1977, their lone album became a regional cult favorite. Hendrix later settled outside Nashville, where he continues to write and record, while the Tennessee River Crooks' music has found new audiences through film and television placements.
