The Twilites recorded and released one extremely obscure single on M-Pac!, which barely saw release. Still, the group’s members have a rich backstory beginning in the mid-1950s. Calvin Barron toured Australia with Sollie McElroy and the Morroccos when they joined the Larry Steele Smart Affairs revue for a long trip down under. By the late 50s, Barron was leading the Cosmic Rays, one of the musical acts that avant garde jazz great Sun Ra recorded for his Saturn label. This 1963 release of “My Love” is one of the rarest singles issued on the M-Pac! imprint.
