WASI breaks the boundaries of indie pop, punk and alt-hip hop to create their own self defined genre: riot pop. Their reminiscent melodies, angst-ridden lyrics and uplifting aura speak to a genre-less youth who are going through their own tender time. Born out of Southern California, WASI capture's the lightheartedness of the west coast sound. They draw influences from The Clash, MIA and Tegan and Sara to create this fire-starter sound that is both authentically personal yet danceable.
