Gentlemen Afterdark
Gentlemen Afterdark (GAD) emerged from the remains of the Pills with a bold glam-influenced sound and theatrical live shows. Early attention from People Magazine and support from Alice Cooper—who co-produced their 1983 EP with Dick Wagner—helped establish their spot on the scene. Songs like “Open the Door” and “No Flowers” earned radio airplay, while the band built a strong following across Arizona and Los Angeles. Sharing stages with acts like Los Lobos and New Order, GAD developed a reputation for dynamic performances and a distinctive, genre-blending style.
