King Coya
King Coya, from the Andes of northern Argentina, is the imaginary and digitized version of Gaby Kerpel, who fuses traditional Colombian Cumbia and Argentine folklore with electronic music. Gaby Kerpel is a renowned Argentine composer whose credits include the musicalization of De La Guarda and Fuerza Bruta and the respective soundtrack recorded on Island Records. Through King Coya, Gaby reinterprets the classic Colombian and Peruvian cumbias with the particular sound of Zizek.
