The Owl and The Otter is the instrumental project of Jim Fairchild and Joe Plummer. While spending years on the road as members of Modest Mouse, making music became a method for alleviating the doldrums of the constant down time attendant to touring. Having both grown up skateboarding, they bonded over a love of punk rock and decided to turn some of their spontaneous improvisations in that vein into real songs. This is the result.
