Bob Willie Jones moved to Chicago in 1959 from a little town called Farmerville, Louisiana. Known to sing all the livelong day while working at Republic Steel, he got involved in rhythm and blues and ascended quickly through the club scene, even replacing Junior Wells at Peppers'. Jones cut numerous 45s throughout the 60s and 70s and we have some of his finest examples from the Expo label right here - singles that went on to be highly collectible Northern Soul gems because these cuts are cooking!
