Alive & Well
Alive & Well, the seven-piece dance band dating from the mid-70s began performing as the house band at Candlestone Inn in Belding and Stephanie’s Lounge in Grand Rapids. Alive & Well opened for Rare Earth, Jim Stafford, Dottie West, and Donny and Marie Osmond. After recording an album in 1981 and touring extensively in North America, the musicians opened the club Pocketts in Grand Rapids where guest artists included Maynard Ferguson, the Turtles and Dizzy Gillespie.
