Tyson Motsenbocker spent two years of his youth in the town of Dessalines, Haiti – one hour past Cape Haitien in the center of the Carribian Island. Teaming up with James McAllister (Sufjan Stevens, The National, Taylor Swift) – the duo channels some of the Creole and French sayings of Motsenbocker's youth into a vibrant and exotic landscape of sound. Vintage organs, exciting layered percussion and tape-saturated hooks bring a taste of a former life abroad to McAllister and Motsenbocker's new California home.
