The Xotics

Formed by childhood friends Todd Carrie and Brett Curtin, Xotics crafted smart, guitar-driven synth-pop that blended the emotional sweep of New Order, the moody elegance of The Psychedelic Furs, and the atmospheric melancholy of The Blue Nile. Recording as teenagers in Phoenix during the early ’80s, the band built a cult local following with unreleased songs full of longing, tension, and youthful ambition. Xotics shared stages with Arizona underground favorites before evolving into Radio Architecture, leaving behind a remarkably polished snapshot of young American synth-pop inspired by British new wave classics.
