Calypso crooner Lancelot Victor Edward Pinard AKA “Sir Lancelot” was born in Cumuto,Trinidad in 1902. Credited as one of the people most responsible for popularizing Calypso in the United States, even Harry Belefonte cited him as a major influence. In addition to his world-wide success as a musician, he was an actor appearing on screen beside Doris Day, Burt Lancaster, Humphrey Bogart, and many legends.
