Gale Wahl

Country

Vocalist Gale Wahl brilliantly captured the essence of the early 1980s country sound. Her professional journey took a definitive leap in 1982, when the fresh-faced teenager with a voice beyond her years signed with the influential indie label Comstock Records. Seeking the authentic Nashville sound, the Canadian native traveled to Tennessee to collaborate with renowned producer Patty Parker. Recording at the legendary Sound Emporium Studios alongside a roster of A-list session players, Gale delivered her standout debut single, "I Can Tell" (b/w "The Hard Times All Over Again"). A year later, she followed with "The Higher The Fire (The Hotter The Burn)" b/w "Canadian River." Today, her 1980s recordings are finding a second life through a partnership between Fervor Records and Comstock, introducing Gale’s timeless country voice to an entirely new generation of listeners.
