yellowbirddd has been jokingly called "gentlecore" by McCormack's truest fans due to the often soft, mellow nature of songwriter Liam McCormack’s orchestrations. Growing up on his dad's Neil Young records, and later finding himself in the crafted songwriting and introspection of early emo bands, McCormack also has his moments of angst, a pattern seen throughout his recorded catalog. After 6 years of living in Los Angeles, the "You're Already In Paradise" EP finds yellowbirddd further embracing synth textures and full band arrangements, once again expanding the sonics behind his lyrical indie folk.
