One half of the British duo, Rope Store, Grandbaby is truly an enfant terrible of his analog studio, The Crunch, which happens to be a Cold War bunker out in Norwich, England. With vintage ribbon mics pinned to tube-powered preamps, rickety synths jacked into eccentric stomp boxes, Grandbaby's writer/producer/auteur Jason Baldock cooks up unexpected multi-tracks of afrobeat, deep crate funk, northern soul, boogie and psychedelic rock that hit the spot in the tastiest of ways.
