Coastal Kites is a Los Angles based trio. Its members include: Jeff Kite (producer/keys) and Amir Yaghmai (guitar) [who both play in The Voidz w/ Julian Casablancas] and Jon Pancoast (bass). Their latest LP (Journey Into the Savalin Forest) is an instrumental voyage around planet earth. In the future. Aboard an ancient vessel. Sometimes jammy and freeform, other times composed and cinematic, Coastal Kites weave together many styles ranging from (but not limited to): urban American, African, Middle Eastern, Eastern and Caribbean music.
