London multi-instrumentalist and composer David John Sheppard is the prodigy behind such acclaimed avant-folk acts as State River Widening and Ellis Island Sound. Sheppard's solo work here explores ambient, textural Afro-Krautrock themes that come off as urbane mantras and chilled-out ragas - with a muted kiss of electronic inspiration. Classical guitars in pointillist figures loop and ascend as vibraphones percolate like frogs in the dark.
