Fjäril is the inspired project from Swedish composer Kristina Nilsson - a creative outlet she uses to reconnect with her Scandinavian roots. Nilsson spent every summer growing up, on a small island on a lake in the middle of Sweden with nothing but forests surrounding her. Through her music, she tells stories of the curiosity and wonder she experienced from this childhood place. The resulting compositions are all at once tender, uplifting and mystical - a thoughtful melding of orchestral and acoustic pop elements woven together into textured peaks and deep valleys.
