Mestizo Beat are a Los Angeles-based funk/soul/Afro-Latin band, highly influenced by the rhythmic instrumental music of the late 60s/early 70s from around the globe. You can instantly hear influences from different countries - Nigeria, Ethiopia, Cuba - mixed into their their gritty LA sound.
