Turning frowns up side down since the age of 13, Sugar Minott provided the blueprints for reggae's contemporary dancehall style. Lincoln "Sugar" Minott, born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1956, and worked tirelessly until his passing in 2010 as producer, performer, label owner and eventual pop star earning himself the title "Godfather of Dancehall". Sugar's soothing vocal style, vibrant reggae melodies, driving dancehall beat and overall breezy demeanor are sure to make you shimmy your shoulders and dance.
