Formed in Bristol UK in 1977 by Welsh musician Russ Mainwaring, the Bristol Stingrays mix powerful rough-edged hooky powerpop with British quirkiness and organic harmonies. Now based in Kyoto, Japan, in recent years influenced by their location, they have become hookier and quirkier and as always follow their own path. DIY?.... they’ve never been anything else.
