Inspired by medium format film, tweed amp textiles, jazz piano studies in Milan, Italy, and a decade playing with critically-acclaimed Minneapolis outfits like Rogue Valley, Chris Koza, and more, Joey Kantor's compositional vehicle The Matte Entry lends a warm, analog- and boyhood-inspired take on music for picture. Kantor is also known for his eponymous cinematic/orchestral/ambient work and for his fuzzy, shadowy indie/pop/rock outfit, Chalet.
