Zellots
RockZellots began in the late 1970s in Vancouver as an all-female punk band before dissolving and reforming in London, Ontario in 1980. Founders Jane Colligan and Christine deVeber recruited vocalist Cathy Destun and drummer Greg Moore, later replaced by Craig McGauley, with John Francom joining on multi-instrument duties. The band quickly became a force in the local punk scene, touring across Canada and into Detroit while opening for acts like Bauhaus, Psychedelic Furs, and John Cale. Despite recording a well-received EP, they never signed to a major label. Zellots disbanded in 1984, but their legacy endures through reissues and media placements.
