Bill Cyrils Unlimited
JazzBill Cyrils was an American vibraphonist and bandleader whose distinctive work captured the sophisticated small-group jazz and easy-listening sound of the early 1960s. He is best known for Bill Cyrils Unlimited, featuring acclaimed guitarist and arranger Lloyd Ellis, bassist Dan Shannon, and drummer Jimmy Kaye. Their 1963 Fairmont Records album, Any Time, Any Place!, featured standards including “Cherokee,” “Caravan,” and “Jeep’s Blues,” alongside Cyrils’ original “Minor Bird.” Though Cyrils’ career remains lightly documented, his surviving recordings continue to resonate. Fervor Records is proud to represent Cyrils’ musical material and help preserve his legacy.
