In an attempt to shed light on the goodness in our world, Howard Schultz brought his passion project to life with Starbucks’ first original web series, Upstanders. The episodes showcase all kinds of people working to make lives better in their communities. Marmoset’s track “Island Arc” is used to introduce each of the 10 shorts, and sets the tone with inspiring strings and emotive piano. Ranging from an ex-NFL football player who started a gym for veteran and civilian amputees, to a group of high school students in Curtis Bay who prevented a harmful incinerator from being built in their back yards, these stories are true tales of human kindness.
