This summer, Netflix floored us all with the premiere of Stranger Things. The retro-futuristic, sci-fi thriller series had viewers around the world glued to their screens, anxiously predicting whom the Demogorgon would go after next. While the Twilight Zone-esque storyline baited viewers, the 80’s synth-laden soundtrack, written by S U R V I V E, an Austin, Texas-based, analog synth band, proved to be equally outstanding, drawing the attention of millions of fans. Here at Marmoset, we all agree that Season 1’s soundtrack is out of this world, so we’ve curated a list of Stranger Things-inspired synth space beats to hold you over until next season (or at least until October 28th, when the soundtrack is released on vinyl).
