Here’s to our Blazers

It was a roller coaster year for fans of the Portland Trail Blazers. There were miracles and nightmares. This year was the one we saw LaMarcus Aldridge come into his own as one of the most dominant power forwards in the NBA. It was also a year where we lost big man Greg Oden and our All-Star Superstar Brandon Roy.
We experienced the emergence of stars Aldridge, Wesley Matthews and traded to get the ultimate scrapper and former All-Star Gerald Wallace. Eventually, Brandon Roy came back after double knee surgery, although we’ve been told he will never be the same.

This team could have tanked and no one would have been surprised. But they didn’t. They showed heart. They showed resilience. And most of all, they showed us a glimpse of what we hope will be a march to the NBA Finals next year, if they can just get healthy enough to finally be 100%.

This little video highlight of Game 4 of the 2011 NBA Playoffs against the Dallas Mavericks was hands-down, the most inspiring fourth quarter in franchise history. We’d like to thank our Blazers for a good run, despite the challenges… and look to next year to finally be the year it all comes together. Go Blazers.
