Apple X Marmoset Music Placement

Marmoset team works soon music placement project for Apple

Music placement can be subtle, so subtle that maybe you didn’t even realize there was music playing in the background (oh, but it’s there alright). Other times, it’s the music that drives the visuals, causing everyone in the video’s comments section to ask what’s that song that plays at 1:05?

At Marmoset, we know all about the art of perfect music placement. Whether it’s subtle and subdued — or anthemic and turned up — placing the right music to picture will only make your project shine that much brighter.

We turn to Apple’s Instagram collaborations for examples of perfect music placement — both campaigns feature Marmoset artists, find out who below.

Snails in Love

Created by Aleia Murawski and Samuel Copeland and shot on an Apple iPhone, the video follows the timeline of falling in love — as two snails. Featuring “The Unwritten Law” by Al Hazan, the campaign follows two snails’ blossoming romantic relationship across a landscape of miniature sets created by Murawski and Copeland.

Water and Light

Commissioned by Apple, experimental water photographer, Christy Lee Rogers captures stunning images for the new iPhone 11Pro. Featuring “Opus 17” by Marmoset artist, Sun Shapes, the Instagram campaign offers a sneak peek of the intrinsic and beautiful art of mixing light with water.
