Music + Picture // Schott NYC finds the soundtrack to their story

In their 100th year, Schott NYC just released a reflective and celebratory vignette of their long history of making iconic leather jackets (by the way, this has one of the best intros we’ve seen).

The gorgeous song Miles of Trees by Great Wilderness was placed as the soundtrack for this finely-crafted film.  The song dances and weaves harmoniously with the moving images.  This composition was found by the filmmakers using our Singles search filters.

Our search filters specify song elements to match the needs of your film including…

Mood: What is the primary emotion in the film?  Is it Somber? Joyous? Both?

Arc: What is the shape of your story?  Is there a big climax in the middle? A big “aha” moment at the end?  Songs can have similar shapes and story lines to film.

Energy: Does your story have a lot movement?  Do you want a song with a strong pulse to keep up with a fast-paced scene?  Or are you wanting an ambient song, chill and in the background?

There’s a lot to
consider when looking into finding the right soundtrack for your film,
that’s why we want to make it as easy as possible. With so many elements in mind while looking for the perfect soundtrack, let’s start with the beginning… What’s Your Story?
