From opening to close, this recent collaboration we had with Giant Racing is an exploration in perspective. Guided by an interview with world class racer Marcel Kittel, this video shifts and moves with unique camera angles pulling the viewer into different directions.
With expansive aerial shots narrowing down into intimate views of racers turning tight corners on the ground, the soundtrack needed to cross different terrains, and Motopony‘s song “27” fit the bill perfectly…
Towing the line between being calm and stoic, this folk instrumental travels with many different textures and sonic landscapes. Bearing acoustic guitar, piano and a wealth of different synthesized textures, there is an eclectic use of a drum machine keeping a cool and steady beat. This composition moves in great harmony with the moving imagery of the film, both presenting a journey that compliments one another.
