With COVID-19 in our midst, we know times are strange, even difficult for many. As a company who cares about its community and the health of those around us, we’re doing the responsible thing and giving our team the option to work from home. What does this mean for you?
Following in Design Week’s footsteps, we’ll be postponing our event to fall within their new scheduled week: August 1 – August 8 2020.
Here is the official statement from Design Week:
Just last week, we were hopeful that the festival could continue as planned, given our local footprint and distributed structure. However, in light of Governor Brown’s announcement yesterday and what we continue to learn about the most effective efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, we feel that postponing is the best course of action.
If you’ve reserved tickets for events, you will hear from us in the coming weeks about the status of those events. If the event is unable to move and needs to cancel completely, we stand behind full refunds for those tickets. If it’s moving to August, your purchase and RSVP will remain intact, but we will honor any refunds for those who can’t attend. Thank you in advance for your patience and support. We want to do what’s best for the well being of our team, our organizers, and our community at large.
Marmoset’s DWP panel entitled “Experiential Music for Podcasts” will now take place on August 4th and Marmoset will honor any RSVPs from the initial April 22 date. Keep an eye out as we’ll share the new invite once we move closer to the new date!
Apart from our Design Week participation, nothing’s changed in term of our services. We’re still here, working as hard as ever to support you in your search for music. If there’s anything we can do on our end to make your life a little easier and your searching a little smoother, well, we’re here for you.
We also want to acknowledge the impact COVID-19 is having on our artists — the very community who bring life to the Marmoset roster. With the widespread cancellation of tours and live shows, we know they’re hurting. In the upcoming weeks, we’ll be working that much harder to show up for both our clients and artists alike.
